Universal Percentile & Percentage Converter
Convert raw marks to percentage, or estimate percentile from your rank and total candidates. Use the right metric for forms and eligibility.
About this tool
This tool converts marks to percentage using (obtained / total) × 100, and estimates percentile when you know your rank and total number of candidates. Percentile means the percentage of people you scored above.
Percentage is valid when you have raw marks and total marks. Percentile is computed by exam bodies using the full candidate pool; our rank-based estimate is approximate and for reference only.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between percentage and percentile?
Percentage is your score out of the maximum (e.g. 85/100 = 85%). Percentile is the share of candidates you beat (e.g. 95 percentile = you scored more than 95% of candidates).
